I buy fresh trees so usually no more than two weeks before Christmas. The trees dry out very quickly. We still are looking ahead to Thanksgiving here in the states at the end of the month, and then I'll be ready to start gearing up for Christmas decorations. I hate the fact that as soon as Halloween is over, in fact, before Halloween is over the Christmas decorations are up in the stores. Jeepers! And the day after Christmas, Valentine's Day stuff is up. No wonder the years go by so quickly! Win

I'm a December 1st kind of girl, just because I get bored so easily and if I leave it up any longer than that I get tired of looking at it. :)
Plus, it doesn't start feeling Christmasy outside here until long after Thanksgiving. As in, it's November 2 and 70 degrees outside.

Here's a question - do you think it's cheating (or just plain lazy) to get a pre-lit tree? I never get the lights quite right, so I'd rather leave it to the pros!

Well, we have a pre-lit one but we put more lights on it. DH would put ten strings of lights on if we let him!!!!! But I think having a pre-lit one is a good idea that way if you don't want to do lights you can let that slide or in our case you can just add more! No cheating at all!

I will say that I can't wait to start shopping for Christmas deco stuff for the new place! I may be busy giving birth around December 1st this year, so I might be on the November team with you!

Can't wait until December because I am sure you will post pics on your blog of the little one in a pretty Santa style dress and hat!

Just before the first Sunday of Advent, usually because I have to search for my Advent wreath and figure I might as well set up everything in one shot.
