The next generation

I continue to work with teens in the area that I live in. I noticed that there are allot of teen boys so I talked to my son because he was out playing with around 10 teens they were playing basketball. The town that we live in has a population of 600 and drugs and gangs are out there. I asked my son to form a basketball team and I would line up games for them to play with other churches. I am going to try to teach them the word of God while they prepare for their games. So many teens can be reached if we just take the time. For me it has been so rewarding. I just pray that God will use me because I don't know how to coach a boys basketball team but they have the love for the sport and I want them to have LOVE for God. The word of God says in 1 Corinthians 9
19Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. 20To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. 21To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God's law but am under Christ's law), so as to win those not having the law. 22To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. 23I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings. I want to stop and think about their needs and see how I can meet them and introduce the Love of God to them. I pray that this will be a ministry for my son who really needs to get plugged into Gods word and find joy in serving Christ. I would love to have a big van to transport teens in but God will provide. We are still meeting for bible study on Sundays. Our group is small but they have a desire to learn. I am so amazed that the kids in the area truly want to learn about God and take the time to seek his face. Even when they come with out their parents. We need to reach the new generation. I tell them that I know that one day they will fill this church along with their kids. God will give the increase. Keep us in prayer. I want these teens to be so in love with God that they can't contain Him.

Good on you worshiphim, preach the gospel in & out of season, take every opportunity. That you would bear fruit & your fruit would remain.
